For those who love to see stamps on the passport, the last 18 months or so have been a minor nightmare. Being unable to get around the world is a burden for many, whether it’s for personal pleasure or professional progress. However, if you are someone who is in the USA and who has gone through the full vaccination process, things might be opening up a bit for you.
Not sure where the Centres for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is allowing you to fly to? Then here are some suggestions to think about.
Croatia
If you fancy heading off to the Adriatic Sea, then book up for the gorgeous former Yugoslavian nation of Croatia. The Republic of Hrvatska is a wonderful location, and is now seen as a great place to visit. You can get access by showing proof of a negative test within 72 hours of your arrival within the country. You also need to take a test on arrival and then quarantine until your results arrive.
Any arrivals within the nation are also expected to pay for accommodation ahead of time and show full proof of COVID-19 vaccination completion.
Cyprus
Cyprus is a popular part of Europe to go and visit, offering gorgeous weather and a laidback, happy lifestyle. However, Cyprus is rated as a “very high” COVID risk by the CDC, with a “Do Not Travel” warning for some parts of the territory.
If you do wish to come here, though, you will need to show proof of vaccination within a fortnight of your arrival. Unlike Croatia, though, no testing is going to be needed – though you will need to go through an application form that is known as a Flight Pass if you wish to gain access.
Belize
Belize has become a popular travel destination for many Americans and beyond. It offers incredible weather, an intriguing and laidback culture, and privacy that you simply cannot find in other parts of the world. This makes it an excellent place to turn to when you just want a bit of peace, quiet, and freedom from the burdens of day-to-day life.
If you are looking for a place with sunkissed weather and lax rules, then you should definitely look to make a booking to the head of Belize as soon as you possibly can – it’s absolutely worth it.
The British Virgin Islands
Along the same lines as the above, the BVI is a great tourist resort for most people. you are now allowed to travel around this part of the world following a 4-day quarantining phase. Once you get through you should be able to get involved in the local community. You also need to pay an entry fee, fill in an application form and show proof of vaccination. It’s a bit of an effort, but definitely worth it.
The BVI is rated as “low risk”, too, so you should find that most opportunities for fun are open to you.
